This programme brings together three works that explore the expressive possibilities of the piano through imagination, poetry, and emotional depth.
Chopin's Polonaise-Fantasie, Op. 61, sets the mood of the recital, a work in which traditional forms are transformed into a deeply personal and visionary musical narrative. Schumann's Fantasiestücke, Op. 12, reveal a world of contrasting moods and fleeting emotions, while Rachmaninoff's Études-Tableaux, Op. 39, conclude the programme with their powerful combination of colour, drama, and virtuosity.
Through these three masterpieces, a journey is created between fantasy, reflection, and intensity, highlighting the piano as an instrument of both extraordinary power and intimate expression.

This programme explores the lasting influence of Johann Sebastian Bach, bringing together works that honour, transform, and reimagine his musical legacy across two centuries.
Bach's Toccata, Adagio and Fugue in C major, BWV 564, provides the foundation of the recital, its grandeur and architectural clarity resonating throughout the programme. Ferruccio Busoni's Fantasia nach J. S. Bach with a bold and visionary tribute, unites reverence for the past with an unmistakably modern imagination. Franz Liszt's Variations on "Weinen, Klagen, Sorgen, Zagen" transforms one of Bach's most poignant themes into a deeply expressive meditation and concludes the programme.
Together, these works reveal Bach not only as a composer of his own time, but as a continuing source of inspiration whose music has shaped generations of composers, each discovering new colours, new emotions, and new possibilities within his enduring musical language.

Dieses Programm beleuchtet die reiche und unverwechselbare Tradition der polnischen Klaviermusik. Es vereint Werke, die den nachhaltigen Einfluss der polnischen musikalischen Identität widerspiegeln und zugleich deren Wandel von der Romantik bis in die Moderne sichtbar machen.
Grażyna Bacewiczs Klaviersonate Nr. 2 eröffnet das Programm – ein Werk von außergewöhnlicher Virtuosität und Vitalität, das eine ausgesprochen moderne polnische Klangsprache erkennen lässt. In der Mitte des 20. Jahrhunderts entstanden, verbindet die Sonate rhythmischen Schwung, scharfe Kontraste und eine kraftvolle dramatische Entwicklung.
Im Zentrum der romantischen polnischen Klaviertradition steht Frédéric Chopins Klaviersonate Nr. 2 b-Moll op. 35. Mit ihrer dramatischen Intensität, lyrischen Ausdruckskraft und ihrem höchst individuellen Umgang mit der Form zeigt sie Chopins Fähigkeit, die Konventionen der Gattung zu überschreiten und zugleich tief in seiner polnischen Identität verwurzelt zu bleiben.
Karol Szymanowskis Mazurkas op. 50 greifen die traditionelle polnische Tanzform auf und verwandeln sie in eine höchst individuelle musikalische Sprache. Volkstümlich inspirierte Rhythmen verbinden sich dabei mit einer raffinierten harmonischen Farbigkeit.
Den Abschluss bildet Karol Szymanowskis Klaviersonate Nr. 2 op. 21, ein monumentales und zutiefst ausdrucksstarkes Werk, das mit seiner rhythmischen Energie und komplexen Texturen die Grenzen der Klaviersonatengattung auslotet.
